BOSC Pavilion brings Fawlty Towers and cricket to Bordon this May

The Bordon and Oakhanger Sports Club (BOSC) is hosting a range of activities at its pavilion in May, kicking off the month with the second cricket match of the season, whilst also holding a Fawlty Towers themed immersive dining experience.

Details of the events at BOSC pavilion, include:

  • Cricket Match with Headley Cricket Club, Saturday 4 May, 10am – 4pm
  • Quiz Night with Beacon Church, Tuesday 7 May, from 8pm
  • Fawlty Towers Dining Event with The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre, Friday 10 May, from 7pm
  • Classic Car & Bike Meet, Sunday 12 May, 10am – 1pm

The second of Headley Cricket Club’s matches of the season will take place on Saturday 4 May, 10am – 4pm and is open for all to come and watch whilst enjoying drinks and a bite to eat on the terrace or in the club room.

On Tuesday 7 May from 8pm the monthly Quiz Night with Beacon Church will provide budding quizzers with the chance to test their knowledge against other members of the community. Places are limited and tickets should be purchased in advance.

With the endorsement of John Cleese himself, the notorious dining room at the Fawlty Towers Hotel is coming to BOSC on 10 May, opening its doors to the public for a theatrical dinner experience like no other. The Fawlty Towers Dining Event begins at 7pm and is being held in conjunction with The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre. Tickets are available from £49 pp.

Also in May, and following the success of its April meet, BOSC will host the spring’s second Classic Car & Bike Meet on Sunday 12 May, between 10am – 1pm. Classic car and bike owners are invited to bring their own vehicles down and get together with fellow enthusiast for a breakfast get together.

“At BOSC, it is our mission to host a variety of social events that appeal to all members of the community,” says Naomi Metcalfe, Community Development Officer for the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company.

“We are especially excited to announce our event calendar in May. From the cricket to the Fawlty Towers dining event and the second Classic Car & Bike Meet, there truly is something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming new guests and regular BOSC attendees at the pavilion throughout the spring and summer.”
